Yard Technician
Job Summary:
Midsouth Rentals LLC is a progressive family-owned rental company that has an opening for a full-time Yard Technician at its Hopkinsville, KY location. Job duties include checking in equipment, cleaning machines, and assisting mechanics with routine services. This is a great entry-level position that offers room for growth and potential advancement that could lead to a role as a mechanic or driver within the company.
Qualifications:
- Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record - Class A CDL preferred but not required
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and physical exam
- Previous experience with operating or working on construction equipment preferred but not required
- Must possess a willingness to learn
- Self-motivated and driven for success
- Must have strong customer service skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the pre- & post-rental cleaning and inspection of construction equipment
- Technicians must be willing to learn and perform basic service tasks such as lubrication of moving parts, fluid level checks, etc.
- Technicians must have excellent customer service skills and communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, typically up to 50 pounds regularly
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED - REQUIRED
- Customer Service Experience - REQUIRED
- Familiarity with various types of construction/industrial tools & equipment a plus but not required
Hourly Rate Range:
- $18.00 - $21.00
- Pay Based on Experience
- Some overtime hours as needed.
