Inside Sales Representative
Job Summary:
Mid-South Rentals LLC is a progressive family-owned rental company that has an opening for an Inside Sales Representative at its Owensboro, KY location. This position is considered the Company’s front line of contact with the customer, whose purpose is to understand customer equipment needs and place orders. The role also requires strong administrative skills and an ability to deliver customer satisfaction through a professional attitude at all times.
Qualifications:
- Previous equipment rental industry experience a plus but not required
- Strong customer service & telephone skills
- Solid computer and administrative skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with computer programs - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Self-motivated and driven for success.
- Must have valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Will be required to pass a pre-employment drug test and DOT physical exam.
Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors and create a welcoming environment
- Answer customer calls
- Troubleshoot customer applications
- Create reservations
- Close sales
- Occasionally help load and unload customers
- Collaborate with the sales department to generate equipment sales and rental leads
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Education and experience that prepares you for success:
- High School diploma or GED required
- Familiarity with various types of construction/industrial tools & equipment a plus but not required.
- Customer Service Experience REQUIRED
Hourly range: $20.45 - $27.50
Pay Based on Experience
Classification: Non-exempt
