Responsibilities
- Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other power tools to maintain grassed areas efficiently and safely.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as edging, pruning, planting, and mulching to enhance curb appeal.
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Identify plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to support healthy landscape growth and pest management strategies.
- Use hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners, and spades for planting, digging, and landscape repairs.
- Conduct tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and assessing tree health for safety and aesthetics.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently while operating equipment or working with chemicals like pesticides or herbicides.
Requirements
- Prior outdoor work experience with grounds maintenance or landscaping is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge of landscaping equipment such as mowers, excavators, and irrigation systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture principles, and pesticide management practices.
- Ability to operate ground maintenance equipment including power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to outdoor work environments.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions throughout the day.
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach toward landscape upkeep and hardscape projects.
