What are the responsibilities and job description for the Used Furniture Associate/Sales position at Midsouth Hotel Supply?
We're a locally owned furniture store with new and used inventory, and we're growing. We need a sharp, personable associate who can sell, connect with customers, and keep our showroom running at its best — someone who's active online, knows how to move inventory through social media and marketplace platforms, and isn't afraid to hustle.
What You'll Do:
- List, photograph, and actively market furniture on Facebook Marketplace, Facebook Groups, OfferUp, and similar platforms daily
- Respond quickly to online inquiries, DMs, and comments to convert interest into sales
- Manage and grow our Facebook page presence — posts, engagement, and promotions
- Help customers in-store find the right furniture — listen, advise, and close
- Ring up sales and handle payments accurately
- Manage incoming calls and messages promptly
- Load and deliver furniture to customers' homes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing showroom — including basic furniture cleaning, polishing, and minor repairs
- Assist at our neighboring business, Midsouth Hotel Supply, during slower periods
What We're Looking For:
- Active on Facebook and online marketplaces — this is a big part of the job, not an afterthought
- Knows how to write a good listing: clear photos, honest descriptions, competitive pricing
- Natural salesperson — confident, friendly, and persuasive without being pushy
- Quick to respond to messages and comfortable managing multiple online conversations at once
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Able to lift and move furniture safely
- Flexible team player willing to pitch in across departments when needed
- Self-starter who doesn't need hand-holding to stay productive

Pay: Starting at $15.00/hour commission
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
