Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer to join our team. Duties
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct system inspections and troubleshoot issues using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment
- Perform maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, refrigerant recharges, and equipment repairs to ensure optimal operation
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) diagrams for accurate installations
- Utilize welding skills for ductwork fabrication or repair as needed
- Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Conduct field service visits for troubleshooting, repairs, or upgrades on existing systems including appliance repair and property maintenance tasks
- Operate a
driver vehicle safely when transporting equipment or materials to job sites - Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports and system specifications
Skills
- Strong construction background with experience in installing complex HVAC systems
- Proven service technician experience with troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/R equipment
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles and mechanical systems integration
- Familiarity with plumbing connections related to HVAC installations
- Experience working with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge of boilers, pumps, motors, and other heating/cooling equipment
- Field service experience with appliance repair or property maintenance tasks
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting
- Welding skills for ductwork fabrication or repairs are advantageous
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely including forklifts or other equipment as needed
- Valid
driver’s license with a clean driving record - Strong safety awareness and adherence to industry standards in HVAC/R work
