Wrecker Driver / RollBack Driver

Our Statesville location is seeking experienced tow truck drivers / operators.

We are willing to train a highly motivated candidate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Working knowledge of tow truck equipment and procedures preferred.
• Any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and the responsibilities of the position.
• Must possess a valid state issued driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• General knowledge of basic maintenance processes, safety standards, and equipment usages.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a conventional tow truck in relocating vehicles from one location to another.
• Ensure safety compliance to include vehicle strapping and engagement, the use of dolly equipment, wheel jacks and vehicle security.
• Respond to all dispatched call requests in a timely manner.
• Conduct pre-trip truck Inspections before and after shifts.
• Assist customers with various emergency road services to include jump starts, lock outs, winch outs and towing services.
• Properly track and document activity log.
• Cleaning, greasing and other duties asked during slow times.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to operate light and heavy equipment.
• General operating knowledge to include jump starts tire changing and lock outs, ect.
• Ability to work various shifts- to include nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with Authority law enforcement personnel, staff customers, vendors, and the general public.
• Must demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills.
• Skills should also include problem solving skills, basic math skills, ability to prepare simple forms, keep equipment clean and orderly.'
