SEEKING
Equity Chorus Singers for roles in MIDNIGHT.
Set in America’s South during the nineteenth century, Midnight is a sweeping story of love, conflict, and the search for understanding. With a fully sung-through score, the musical weaves together gospel, rhythm and blues, classical, pop, rock, opera, folk, and classic musical theatre into a stirring, genre-defying tapestry of sound. Through its soaring music and powerful drama, Midnight invites audiences to imagine life through another’s eyes, offering a universal message: we cannot choose the roles we are given in life, but we can choose how we play them.
Local NYC actors, strong belting sopranos, and high tenors are encouraged to submit.
SEEKING:
ENSEMBLE MEMBERS: [Female and Male Presenting | 20–40 | Black, White]
Strong, versatile singers capable of rich ensemble harmony and featured full-company a cappella moments.
PREPARATION
Please prepare two contrasting 16-bar selections: one musical theatre song and one R&B, pop, rock, or gospel song. Both selections should highlight strong storytelling while showcasing your vocal ability. Please bring sheet music in the appropriate key, as an accompanist will be provided. Additionally, bring your headshot and résumé, stapled together.
