Job Overview
I am seeking a reliable and skilled General Handyman to join the Midlands Handyman Pro team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of repairs, assembly, and installation (i.e. TV mount, towel bars, etc.) across residential and commercial properties. This role requires extensive hands-on expertise with hand tools and carpentry, along with the ability to complete projects efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Use hand tools to perform general repairs and maintenance tasks effectively.
- Carry out miscellaneous carpentry work including deck/fence repair, small deck builds, rotten wood repair, trim repair, etc.
- Assist with other handyman tasks such as painting and patching walls.
- Assemble a variety of homeowner purchases, such as furniture, outdoor playsets, entertainment centers, etc.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during and after project completion.
- Assist in replacing windows and/or doors.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools and basic carpentry techniques.
- Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks in various environments.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize multiple projects effectively.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with customers as needed.
This position will start off as a part-time position that can transition to a full-time position for the candidate that demonstrates a high level of skill with the ability to complete projects independently, effectively, and in a timely manner.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10.0 – 30.0 per week
