Professional Geologist – Environmental Consulting Firm

We are a small, well established environmental consulting firm that provides high-quality environmental assessment and remediation services to private and public sector clients. Our projects range from groundwater assessments and remediation to Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Professional Geologist (PG) to join our team and support environmental site assessment and remediation projects across the South Carolina. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting and overseeing subsurface investigations, groundwater and soil sampling, data interpretation, and report preparation, as well as mentoring junior staff and coordinating with clients and regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review technical reports, maps, and figures.
- Interpret hydrogeologic data and prepare conceptual site models.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Conduct and oversee soil borings, monitoring well installations, and sampling events.
- Lead and perform Phase I and II ESAs, groundwater investigations, and remediation projects.
- Interface with clients, subcontractors, and regulators to ensure successful project completion.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior field and technical staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Environmental Science (Master’s preferred).
- Must possess Professional Geologist (PG) license in South Carolina.
- Strong understanding of RCRA, CERCLA, and state environmental regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCad, and environmental data management software.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
