Job Highlights

This position places a strong emphasis on medical coding, requiring accuracy in assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to patient records in alignment with federal and state guidelines, as well as facility standards. The Medical Records Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring complete, compliant, and timely documentation that supports quality patient care, billing accuracy, and regulatory requirements. Familiarity with 3M, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems and their corresponding guidelines is a plus.

Posted Salary Range

USD $20.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain all medical records in accordance with federal and state guidelines, as well as established Standards of Care and Facility policies and procedures to ensure that a complete medical record program is maintained.
  • Collect and assemble patient records, while ensuring that patient records are accurately processed from admission to discharge

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D
  • Must be able to handle a variety of projects/tasks simultaneously
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills
  • 1-3 years of HIM or medical records experience preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation
