Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Secondary School Athletic Trainer, located in Midland, MI. The Athletic Trainer will be responsible for evaluating, preventing, and managing athletic injuries for secondary school athletes. Daily responsibilities include developing and implementing injury prevention programs, delivering therapeutic treatments, coordinating rehabilitation plans, and preparing athletes for competition. The trainer will also communicate regularly with coaches, parents, and medical professionals to ensure the health and well-being of student-athletes.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Injury Prevention and Prevention techniques to reduce risk and severity of athletic injuries
- Proficiency in Athletic Training and Rehabilitation to care for and manage athletic injuries
- Skills in Strength & Conditioning to optimize athletic performance and recovery
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with coaches, medical staff, and athletes
- Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) and licensure or eligibility for licensure in Michigan
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Prior experience in secondary school athletic training is a plus
- Knowledge of proper documentation standards and compliance with regulatory guidelines
