What You'll Do
- Act as a working supervisor — operate forklifts, saws, and other warehouse equipment when needed.
- Lead day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and shipping materials.
- Create and manage work schedules, assign tasks, and prioritize workflow to meet deadlines.
- Train, coach, and mentor warehouse staff to maintain high levels of safety, accuracy, and productivity.
- Ensure all team members are forklift certified and compliant with safety procedures.
- Review inventory reports, oversee cycle counts, and coordinate special or periodic inventories.
- Partner with the Purchasing team to support inventory management, receipts, and consolidation.
- Support retail store operations by helping locate and prepare materials for distribution.
- Participate in hiring, evaluations, promotions, and corrective actions as needed.
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution setting.
- At least 7 years of warehouse or shipping experience.
- Skilled forklift operator with a strong focus on safety and precision.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proven experience training, developing, and leading warehouse teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working in a loud, high-traffic warehouse environment.
