Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Pull orders and stage for saw department.
- Operate Forklift to move material. Perform daily forklift checklists.
- Load/unload LTL shipments.
- Inspect and verify that incoming shipments are correct and received in ERP system. Assist customers in remnant/retail area and with customer pickups.
- Process cut orders in ERP system.
- Enter shipments in ERP system to generate packing slips.
- Communicate any issues to the Lead or Supervisor.
- Maintain clean and organized work area.
- Assist with shipping and receiving as needed.
- Operate saw to cut material per specifications on an as needed basis.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience pulling, staging, and organizing materials to support production or warehouse operations.
- Forklift certification and/or experience operating forklifts safely, including completing daily equipment inspections.
- Experience loading and unloading LTL shipments and handling materials in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to inspect incoming shipments, verify accuracy against documentation, and maintain inventory records.
- Experience using ERP systems to receive inventory, process orders, enter shipments, and generate packing slips.
- Strong attention to detail and customer service skills with the ability to assist customers with pickups and product inquiries.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to report issues and collaborate with Leads and Supervisors.
- Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following company safety procedures.
- Ability to operate saws and use measurement tools, including tape measures and digital calipers, to cut materials accurately according to specifications.
- Mathematical aptitude including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
