Position Overview
We are seeking a kind, compassionate, and patient beautician to operate our on-site beauty shop. In this role, you will be a vital part of our residents' routine, helping them look and feel their best while providing warm conversation and companionship. Because our clientele primarily consists of senior residents, you should be deeply familiar with classic styling techniques. Typical requests include:
- Traditional cuts and trims tailored for elderly men and women
- Standard roller sets, curls, and classic blow-dry styles
- Perms and chemical sets customized for senior hair textures
Position Details & Compensation
- 1099 Independent Contractor: This is a contract position. You will manage your own schedule while collaborating with our team to meet resident needs.
- Private Pay Arrangement: Residents or their families coordinate payment directly with you for services rendered.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid, current Cosmetology License in the State of Michigan.
- Must provide a current Certificate of Insurance (COI).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine love for working with the elderly population.
- Excellent reliability, punctuality, and a gentle touch.
- Must be able to pass a background & drug screen
