We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Service Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems. This role focuses exclusively on flat and low-slope commercial roofs and requires strong troubleshooting skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work independently in the field.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and service commercial roofing systems to identify leaks, defects, and damage
- Perform repairs on flat and low-slope roofs, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, and built-up roofing ( Experience with Slate and Tile is a plus).
- Diagnose water intrusion issues and perform permanent and temporary repairs
- Repair and replace flashing, drains, curbs, penetrations, and roof accessories
- Conduct preventative maintenance and service work for commercial clients
- Document work performed with photos, notes, and service reports
- Communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors and customers
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies
- Maintain tools and equipment,
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial roofing experience
- Strong knowledge of flat and low-slope roofing systems
- Ability to safely work at heights and in all weather conditions
- Experience with leak detection and repair techniques
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Must pass drug screening upon being hired, and continually pass random drug testing throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with service and maintenance roofing (not just new installs)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Manufacturer certifications (Carlisle, Sarnafil, Firestone, Fibertite, etc.)
- Ability to read roof plans and inspection reports
