Your Role & Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and accurately perform quality repair work in accordance with Midland’s and factory manufacturer standards.
- Complete system diagnostics and full vehicle troubleshooting and testing.
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and recommend services and preventive maintenance accordingly.
- Communicate directly with service advisors regarding the status of the service work as well as the estimated time for completion so that customers can be informed.
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
- Demonstrates behaviors consistent with Midland’s values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and vendors.
- Maintain an organized and neat shop area.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications – What we are looking for:
- Two or more years of previous experience as an automotive or diesel technician.
- Light/Medium duty diesel experience preferred, but not required.
- Solid knowledge of diesel engine components and diagnostics including:
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Electrical and HVAC components
- Fuel and Oil systems
- Complete engines
- Emissions
- Suspension & Differentials
- Brake and hydraulic systems
- Automotive/Diesel technical or trade school degree is a boost, but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Professional appearance and work ethic.
Schedule:
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week with opportunity for overtime
- Typical hours: Monday – Friday, start at 8am and finish by 5pm
Range is subject to skill set, experience and training or certifications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
