Seasonal Groundskeeper
A groundskeeper at Midland Care Connection during the summer season is responsible for maintaining the appearance and safety of the facility’s outdoor spaces. This includes mowing lawns, trimming and edging grass, watering plants, and caring for landscaping such as trees, shrubs, and flower beds. They also keep the grounds clean by removing trash and debris from walkways, parking areas, and common spaces. In addition, they may perform light maintenance tasks like minor repairs or painting outdoor surfaces, and they regularly use and maintain equipment such as mowers and trimmers. Overall, their role helps ensure the property remains neat, safe, and welcoming for patients, staff, and visitors throughout the summer months.

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in summer conditions (heat, humidity, lifting, bending)
- Basic knowledge of lawn care and landscaping tasks (mowing, trimming, watering)
- Ability to safely use common groundskeeping tools and equipment
- Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
- Valid driver’s license (often required for operating work vehicles or equipment)
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or facility maintenance
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining equipment like riding mowers or trimmers
- Basic maintenance or repair skills (minor fixes, painting, etc.)
- Knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, or seasonal landscaping practices
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Experience working in healthcare, senior living, or similar environments
