Cat5 Cabling Field Technician (1099 Contractor)

We are looking for experienced Low-Voltage Field Technicians / Cable Installers to join our growing nationwide network. If you have hands-on experience with Cat5e, Cat6, structured cabling, network installation, or low-voltage systems, this is a great opportunity to get consistent, high-paying work in your area.

This is a 1099 contractor role—you choose your jobs, set your schedule, and get paid weekly.

Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6/Cat6A network cabling
• Troubleshoot and repair low-voltage wiring (voice, data, POS, security, AV)
• Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and scope-of-work instructions
• Mount, configure, and deploy devices (network switches, access points, IP cameras, POS systems, AV equipment)
• Safely and efficiently use hand and power tools
• Communicate with project managers and clients on-site
• Complete jobs on time with proper documentation and photo reports

Requirements:

• 1 years of experience in low-voltage, structured cabling, or network installation
• Skilled in punchdowns, tone and probe, and cable testing
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to job sites
• Own basic PPE and tool set (drill, snips, fish tape, etc.)
• Smartphone with data plan for job check-in and updates
• Authorized to work in the United States

Preferred (not required):

• BICSI Certification
• OSHA 10/30 certification
• Lift certification
• Fiber optic cabling experience
