Database Administrators performs the following functions:
- Provides comprehensive support and maintenance for all MIDFLORIDA database systems and associated applications.
- Responsible for designing, reviewing, and maintaining daily operational processes, with a focus on automation and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of data within production databases.
- Contributes to the achievement of IT and organizational objectives by successfully completing assigned tasks and projects.
- Learn, recommend, and implement new technologies to benefit MIDFLORIDA Credit Union and its members
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion while remaining compliant with well-defined limits and guidelines.
- Deliver problem solving solutions and perform research as needed.
- Provide technical solutions in support of MIDFLORIDA’s electronic services.
- Professional and efficient communications with all departments promoting synergy.
- Exhibit a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism always.
- Exude a positive and professional attitude with members and partners consistently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and developing Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases; including design, optimization, and maintenance.
- Proficient in designing, implementing, and maintaining SSIS-based ETL processes to support data integration
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
- A strong attention to detail
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Able to work in a team environment as well as independent with minimal supervision
- This position also participates in an on-call support rotation as required.
