1st Mortgage Servicer – Investor perform the following functions:
- Manage default management and loss mitigation activities, including developing mortgage workout proposals for members who are experiencing payment difficulties or are at imminent risk of default.
- Manage investor Early Default Reporting (EDR) and PMI Notice of Default reporting.
- Manage the initial review, processing, and submission of all foreclosure packages by coordinating correspondence with all applicable parties through resolution or sale of collateral.
- Review, research, and resolve general servicing questions from members and other MIDFLORIDA departments.
- Handle general servicing questions and tasks, including loan histories, payment reversals, escrow balance payments, escrow analysis changes, mortgage loan boarding, insurance inquiries, and other mortgage-related matters.
- Review, research, and resolve general ledger reconciliation issues.
- Cross-train in all department functions, as assigned.
- Communicate professionally and efficiently with all departments to promote collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
- Exercise sound judgment and discretion while remaining compliant with well-defined limits and guidelines.
- Provide technical solutions in support of MIDFLORIDA’s electronic services.
- Exhibit a high degree of integrity, trustworthiness, and professionalism always.
- Exude a positive and professional attitude with members and partners consistently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet reporting deadlines.
- Thorough understanding of federal and state mortgage regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated familiarity with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac reporting, servicing regulations, and guidelines, including investor requirements, compliance standards, and operational best practices.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Accounting knowledge preferred.
