We are looking for a Relationship Management Officer to join our dedicated Healthcare Lending team, which is focused on providing specialized services to the healthcare sector. Healthcare is an exciting market that is ever-evolving and more insulated from economic swings than other industries. - Be the primary officer for borrowers and use this relationship to gain customer loyalty and expand existing loan and deposit account products.
- Formulate and update Retention Strategies (determine frequency, followed by execution of onsite customer visits). Opportunities to travel nationwide for site visits with customers.
- Have direct interaction with the originating officer on the closing process of new deals destined to be part of their portfolio
- Negotiate and present renewals, extensions, modifications, waivers, remedial action and new credit requests to borrowers and approval authorities
- Obtain periodic financials, monitor trends, and continually verify the quality of assigned loans and compliance with Loan Agreements. Candidate must have the ability to conduct comprehensive financial analysis and be responsible for discovering adverse trends in a proactive manner.
- Alert management on deteriorating situations in a timely manner.
- Complete standardized reports that cover compliance, risk assessments and grading rationale.
- Maintain knowledge and stay well informed on the complexities and inherent risks of the healthcare industry (seek appropriate training to stay abreast on accounting rules, regulations and overall governance). Travel Required.
- Attend industry conferences for not only educational purposes, but also for branding and marketing purposes. Travel Required.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years’ experience in commercial banking preferred.
- Healthcare Lending and Credit Underwriting experience a significant plus.
- Proven history of excellent communication and customer relation skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Work autonomously/independently and make conclusions in a timely manner
- Understanding complex corporate financials, financial analysis trends and loan structure (knowledge of C&I loan structure preferred, knowledge of loan structure regarding healthcare nuances a strong plus).
- Ability to recognize problematic financial trends, offer creative solutions to complex situations and a workout strategy when needed.
- Experience in interpreting and negotiating attorney prepared loan and collateral documentation
- Ability to respond appropriately to customer inquiries in a fast paced environment
- Computer proficient including Microsoft office products
