We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to provide one-on-one support to a student with personal care and daily living needs in a school environment. The PCA works under the direction of school administration and special education staff to help ensure the student's health, safety, comfort, and successful participation in educational activities while promoting independence and dignity.
Essential Responsibilities
* Provide one-on-one personal care assistance to the assigned student throughout the school day.
* Assist with toileting, diapering, hygiene, handwashing, dressing, and grooming as needed.
* Support safe transfers, positioning, mobility, and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment.
* Assist with feeding, hydration, and mealtime support, following any dietary restrictions or medical guidelines.
* Monitor the student's health, comfort, and well-being, reporting concerns promptly to the school nurse or appropriate staff.
* Maintain student confidentiality in accordance with school policies and applicable privacy regulations.
* Encourage independence by providing only the level of assistance necessary.
* Assist the student in accessing classrooms, school activities, and transitions throughout the school day.
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists, nurses, and other school personnel to support the student's educational and personal care needs.
* Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, as required.
* Follow all district policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
