Job Overview
Middletown Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality patient care in our retail setting known for its quality of service.
This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, Medications, Pharmacy workflow and techniques to ensure the safe and effective dispensing while maintaining the quality of service.
Duties
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards, including maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications.
- Provide customer service in safe and HIPPA compliant way under the supervision of Pharmacist on duty.
- Help Maintain accurate prescription records and medication profiles to ensure effective medication management.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions, addressing concerns, and ensuring a positive experience-both in person and over the phone.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred
- Knowledge of PrimeRX (Micromerchant systems) preffered
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare providers.
- Ability to work in a medium to fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- CT state licensed Pharmacy technician preferred
