Position Overview:
As a Medical Assistant in our urgent care facility, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare providers and ensuring an excellent patient experience. You will assist with various clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures and examinations.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their care and treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or similar) is a plus.
- Previous experience in an urgent care or similar clinical setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
