What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lab Tech position at Middletown Medical?
Assist in all UC Mini- Laboratories
Performs daily quality control according to the Laboratory SOP
Performs calibration verification on DxH 500
Maintains current CBC lots
Prints and signs DxH daily start-up and file in correct binder
Performs weekly maintenance on DxH 500 Analyzer
Order correct amount of supplies for DxH 500, Cardiac Triage, ID NOW analyzer, COVID testing and all other test that is being transferred
Notifies laboratory manager when new CBC lots arrive within same day
Runs lot to lot according to Laboratory SOP
Run daily quality control simulator on the cardiac triage
Runs quality controls on new cardiac lots
Performs Quality on all new shipment lots/ Monthly New User for Abbott ID NOW strep A, Influenza A/B, RSV and COVID
Enters all patient results for modertaly and waived testing into Labdaq
Maintains all print-outs from the cardiac analyzer for patients and controls in appropriate binder
Maintains laboratory temperature and humidity on dedicated temperature/ humidity log sheets
Runs API proficiency testing is a timely manner and submit it to the Laboratory
Assist in training new employees in LIS/ Ordering/ Testing
Order all specimens drawn at your location
Run and result all test that can be done in the mini lab
Report any critical/ abnormal results to provider on duty and ordering provider
Swab influenza, RSV, COVID or Strep A as needed
Troubleshoot any analyzers that have issues, and open ticket with Technical support
This list is not limited to these action and may include other responsibilities as needed
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
