What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at Middletown Medical P.C.?
Registered Nurse in urgent care, primary care and various specialties for full-time.

You will:
- manages overall patient care, including mentoring and overseeing LPN’s and MA’s during shift
- Provide case management and develop care plans, following standard protocols
- Managing patients that have more complex medical issues, including assessing lab results and initiating certain pre-determined treatments based on results, following standard protocols
- Organizing and setting physician call backs
- Measuring vital signs (i.e. height, weight, body temperature, blood pressure, pulse and breathing)
- Update medical records based on information collected
- Triage patient calls and performs clinical tasks under direct supervision of a physician (i.e. rooming patients, checking vital signs, drawing blood, and authorizing prescription refills
- Assign less complex patients to LPN’s following standard protocols
- Managing patients that have more complex issues (i.e. assessing lab results and initiating certain pre-determined treatments based on results)
- Execute standing orders (i.e. administration of oxygen, EKG, finger sticks, laboratory testing when necessary and appropriate, collect samples for testing)
- Clean and sterilize instruments
- Be involved in patient education including explaining procedures and testing
- Administer medications, IV placement, give injections, dress wounds and draw blood with doctor approval
- Assist with insurance forms, pre-authorizations and referrals as needed
- Attend monthly clinical meetings
- Maintain CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification
You need:
- High school education or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum of Associate’s degree in Nursing or nursing diploma required.
- Appropriate NYS RN licensing required.
- 1 year experience in a medical setting
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
