About Us
The Middletown Day Nursery, established in 1912, is a nonprofit childcare center licensed to serve 75 children, ages 6 weeks to 10 years old. Our program is supported through parent tuition, community contributions, fundraising efforts, and CACFP food reimbursement.
We operate year-round Monday–Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:15 PM, and close for 11 major holidays each year. We welcome children on a full-time, part-time, or hourly basis and provide two nutritious meals and one snack daily.
Our program offers a nurturing and engaging environment that supports each child’s emotional, social, physical, and cognitive development. Teachers provide structured lesson plans and monthly newsletters to keep families informed about classroom activities and learning goals. Children's progress is assessed twice yearly, with results shared during parent conferences.
Position Overview
Middletown Day Nursery is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support our teaching staff in providing a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children.
The ideal candidate is creative, flexible, dependable, and enjoys working with children. A positive attitude and a good sense of humor are essential in our collaborative and supportive classroom environment.
