Assistant Athletic Director
Middletown City Schools is seeking a quality individual to manage the effective delivery/advancement of the athletic program.
Qualifications:
1. Baccalaureate degree in education, or other related field such as sports management, with an administrative, athletic, and/or coaching experience (preferred).
2. High moral character, proper role model for the students, coaches, and the community. Has integrity, and effectively communicates well with players, parents, community members, coaches, and school officials.
3. Ability to lead, organize, supervise, and give direction to athletic teams/programs.
4. A commitment and willingness to continue to learn and examine new ideas pertinent to the role of assistant athletic director.
5. Administer interscholastic policies and procedures according to the rules of the Ohio High School Athletic Association. Proper working knowledge of policies, rules, and regulations established by the league, the school, Ohio High School Athletic Association, the State of Ohio, Federal government, and the Board of Education that pertain to athletics.
6. Holds a current and valid licensure and certification(s) defined in accordance with the Ohio Department of Education, the Ohio High School Athletic Association, and the Middletown City School District. A valid Pupil Activity Supervisor Certificate.
7. Acceptable BCII report and FBI report.
8. Ability to meet all job expectations and objectives.
9. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and/or Board of Education may find appropriate.
Supervises:
Supervises and evaluates in cooperation with the Athletic Director all athletic programs/teams, coaches, site managers, faculty managers, and trainers associated with athletics.
