Middlesex Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our expanding Adult Outpatient Mental Health Services team. Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments for adult patients
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
Provide ongoing medication management and psychiatric follow-up care
Collaborate with therapists, social workers, primary care providers, and other members of the treatment team
Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the electronic health record
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support a patient-centered model of care
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
Current Connecticut APRN license
Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or eligibility to obtain certification
Experience working with mental health populations in outpatient and/or inpatient settings
Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical assessment skills
