Department: Diagnostic Imaging - Outpatient Center
Hours: Per Diem
Position Summary:
The Mammography Technologist performs a variety of breast imaging procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide a safe environment for patients, co workers, and Medical staff at all times
Practice safety absolute when identifying patients throughout all breast imaging and procedures
Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties; providing explanations of imaging procedures; explaining equipment; answering questions
Provide high caliber breast imaging at all times by following established protocols and procedures; determining necessary adjustments for optimum results; retaking images as required;
Apply the principles of teamwork in all aspects of providing patient care
Exercise independent, professional judgment in the performance of breast imaging
Minimum Qualifications:
Radiologic Technologist ARRT board certified
Mammography ARRT board certified
Must meet all ACR/FDA Personnel Qualifications
Familiar with EPIC, Philips PACS, Hologic Mammography Equipment
Good communications skills
Compassionate patient care skills
Reliable, punctual and well-organized
