Position Summary:
The Microbiology Technical Assistant provides technical and clerical support to the laboratory staff.
Receives and prepares specimens for examination and testing (waived and limited moderate testing) and basic urinalysis
Performs maintenance and quality control procedures, primarily in the department of Microbiology
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a microbiology laboratory is highly desirable
Knowledge of medical terminology is strongly preferred
