Now Hiring: Part-Time Groundskeeper / Maintenance Employee
The Middlesex County Administrator’s Office is looking for a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a part-time groundskeeper and maintenance employee. This position supports a variety of county facilities and helps keep them running smoothly and looking their best.
What You’ll Do:
- Mow grass, trim with a weed wacker, and handle general landscaping.
- Assemble and move furniture as needed.
- Perform light maintenance on equipment, machinery, plumbing, electrical systems, and county buildings using both hand and power tools.
- Paint, clean, and keep facilities in good working order.
What We’re Looking For:
- Someone who can follow written and verbal directions.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently.
- Holds a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Able to pass a criminal background check (required due to building access).
Position Details:
- Part-time, hourly position (approx. 20–29 hours per week).
- Flexible schedule, generally between 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
