The Workforce Development and Lifelong Learning (WDLL) Department of Middlesex College invites applications for a part-time, non-credit Kitchen Assistant to support the following culinary instruction program during the 2023-2024 Academic Year:

Important:
Please note that a non-credit Kitchen Assistant is not an adjunct position. Successful candidates teach courses in the WDLL Department.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Preps all ingredients as per the recipes. This may include, cleaning all produce, knife skills, weighing, portioning, precook, and cleaning.
- Secures equipment for instructor and participants.
- Sets tables for guest as needed. Sets up and greets guest.
- Cleans and stores equipment.
- Secures the kitchen at the end of class.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Three years of experience as a chef
- ServSafe® certification
- Excellent knife skills
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Organizational Skills
- Great Interpersonal Skills
