SALARY: $42,000.00 Annually

DEPARTMENT: Facilities Maintenance
REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Custodial Services
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs routine checks of the College’s boilers.
- Cleans all floor areas in designated work locations, including vacuuming, shampooing, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing, and/or buffing.
- Dusts, cleans, and/or polishes furniture and fixtures.
- Checks and replaces necessary lavatory supplies.
- Assists in the moving of furniture, supplies, and miscellaneous equipment.
- Collects trash from receptacles through the buildings.
- Cleans and washes glass surfaces, ceilings, and walls.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current NJ Black Seal License
- Custodial or housekeeping experience
- Experience in operating machinery related to custodial activities
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
40 Hours per Week
Half-Hour Lunch
Shift differential of $3,132
RETIREMENT: Pension Eligible
Any Middlesex College employee hired after September 1, 2011 will have to meet the New Jersey residency law requirement.
