Middlemore has been retained to appoint an In-House Executive Search Lead (Global) for a multinational Fortune 200 business, based on the US East Coast.
This is the first role of its kind and has been designed to differentiate the organisation in the market from a candidate identification, assessment, and integration perspective. This role will elevate how the company identifies, engages, and hires top executive and senior leadership talent globally. Acting as a strategic partner, the incumbent will provide deep market intelligence, competitive insights, and succession planning support—building executive-level credibility within the organisations leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and standardisation of global identification and talent assessment processes — introducing behavioural profiling tools and implementing new ways of working to enhance both stakeholder and candidate experience (think AI, UX design, digital platforms, and tooling).
- Personally manage end-to-end executive search processes for priority leadership roles, ensuring exceptional candidate and stakeholder experiences.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CPO, ExCo members, and senior business leaders, advising on market conditions, talent availability, and succession planning
- Build and lead a talent market intelligence capability to deliver insights on:
- Competitor leadership movements
- Emerging talent trends
- Compensation benchmarking
- Diversity representation within executive talent pools
- Deliver quarterly executive market briefs to CPO and senior TA leadership.
- Translate data into actionable insights to inform workforce and succession strategies
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships with executive search firms and talent intelligence providers
- Introduce advanced selection methodologies, including:
- Behavioural and competency-based interview frameworks
- Psychometric and leadership potential assessments
- Partner with Leadership Development and Organisational Effectiveness teams to ensure alignment with the organisations leadership success profile.
- Coach and upskill stakeholders on executive selection best practices.
- Develop and launch an Executive Employer Branding program in partnership with Recruitment Marketing, creating a “HALO effect” that that elevates visibility and attractiveness.
- Curate differentiated, high-touch candidate and stakeholder experiences, positioning the business as an employer of choice at the executive level.
Candidate background
- Experience at VP–Director level with search experience from Telco, Retail, and B2C/B2B2C environments (ideal)
- Proven track record managing C-suite or VP-level searches across multiple markets.
- Deep understanding of leadership assessment methodologies, psychometric tools, succession planning frameworks and diversity strategies.
- Strong executive presence, credibility, and consultative influencing skills.
- Expertise in market mapping, competitor analysis, and talent intelligence tools.
- Experience partnering with CPOs, ExCo members, and external executive search firms.
