Medical Records Clerk needed for fast paced Private Practice in Middlebury VT. The right candidate will have effective communication, professionalism, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. Experience with Microsoft Office applications, medical records, and medical terminology is strongly preferred. 3.5 days per week(30 hrs) with additional hours needed during vacations, etc.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate and confidential medical records for our patients
- Organize and manage medical records in a timely manner to ensure efficient retrieval and accessibility
- Use electronic medical record systems and other database tools to input and update patient information
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and providers to obtain necessary information for medical records
- Review and audit medical records for completeness and accuracy
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to medical records
- Assist with the release of medical records to authorized parties in accordance with current regulations
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive medical information
