Job Summary:
Equipment Operator works in our Ferrous Metals yard and will be proficient in the classification and sorting of various metals. They will be responsible for operating Material Handlers, excavators, front end loaders, as well as an opportunity to conduct operation of our material processing machinery. Operator will maintain a clean operating area, and may include assisting in shipping outbound metals and assisting customers as needed. They must be able to operate a material handler, front end loader and excavator in a safe manner. The operator must be willing to work both inside a machine and with his/her hands. This includes inspecting and maintaining the equipment as well as inspecting and cleaning all processed and unprocessed metals for quality assurance. We are willing to train the right individual to succeed in this role.
Schedule:
Monday- Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Saturday 8:00 AM to 12 PM
Responsibilities:
- Pre and post operation inspections of equipment.
- Operate equipment such as material handlers, excavators, and loaders.
- Oversee operation of various material processing machines.
- Monitor the condition of equipment to ensure it is operationally ready.
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Analyze and sort various ferrous and nonferrous metals.
- Maintain a clean working area.
- Assist customers as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2A Hoisting License
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule in line with business hours, operations, and expectations.
- Flexible to work overtime, off-hours, and weekends as needed.
- Interested in working in an industrial environment.
