For nearly 35 years, Middle Way Cafe has been a part of this community's mornings and lunches. We're looking for a friendly, dependable team member to run our smoothie and fresh juice station.

About the Role

You'll prepare smoothies and fresh-pressed juices to order, keep the station stocked and spotless, and give every guest a great experience. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role at the heart of our breakfast and lunch rush.

Responsibilities

• Make smoothies, juices, and other blended beverages to recipe, consistently and quickly
• Wash, cut, portion, and prep fruits, vegetables, and add-ins
• Operate blenders, juicers, and related equipment safely, and clean them thoroughly between uses
• Take and fill drink orders accurately, and greet guests warmly
• Monitor ingredient levels, rotate stock (first in, first out), and flag low inventory
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and allergen-handling procedures
• Keep the station, counters, and storage areas clean and organized
• Support teammates during peak times, including opening and closing tasks

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cafe, juice bar, restaurant, or other food-service setting preferred; we're happy to train the right person
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety
• Friendly, positive, team-first attitude
• Reliable and punctual, able to work early morning shifts starting at 7 AM
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for up to 9 hours
• Food handler's card (or willingness to obtain one before starting)

Schedule

Daytime shifts only (the cafe is open 7 AM to 5 PM, seven days a week). Weekend availability is a plus.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week
