Job Summary

Riverside Local Schools is seeking a dedicated, energetic, and dynamic 7–12th Grade Foreign Language Teacher for the 2027–2028 school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about language acquisition, cultural education, and fostering a supportive, engaging learning environment that empowers middle and high school students to achieve academic and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in a secondary foreign language curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to language learning and cultural appreciation.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students, including implementing accommodations for Students with Disabilities (SWD) and gifted learners.
• Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and drive instructional decisions.
• Maintain clear, consistent communication with students, parents, administration, and colleagues.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and district initiatives.

Qualifications

• Valid State of Ohio Teaching License/Certificate for Secondary Foreign Language (7–12) in the appropriate language discipline (or ability to obtain prior to the start of the 2027–2028 school year).
• Strong foundational knowledge of language pedagogy and proficiency-based instruction.
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Successful completion of required FBI/BCI background checks.
