Our district consists of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.
Position Overview & Responsibilities
Responsible for preparing lessons, instructing students with a wide range of abilities, assessing student learning, collecting and analyzing student data to plan instruction, creating an engaging and respectful classroom environment, communicating with students, parent and multiple stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, supervising students, participating in school improvement initiatives and learning professionally. Start date: Immediate Opening - December 19, 2025
FTE: 1.0
Contract: Immediate Opening - December 19, 2025, 8-hour days, plus an additional 2 hours of paid float conference time the week of November 25, 2025.
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education and required teaching certificate in related area(s) of instruction as required by the State of Minnesota, specific content knowledge, training or job experience required before appointment, and successful student teaching.
Salary & Benefits
Wages: Long-Term Substiute Certified Staff Rate with appropriate Elementary Education or 5-8th Grade Mathematics Certification from PELSB: $249.55/day. $175/day only with short-call substitute teaching license. Additional restrictions apply with short-call substitute licenses, also.
Benefits: Fully certified teachers with assignments longer than 30 contract days are entitled to District Contribution at the Full-time (1.0 FTE) benefit level. No benefits available with short-call substitute license. Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST) will be provided as required by law for either license type.
