What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN position at Middle River Regional Jail?
- Middle River Regional Jail is currently accepting applications for full-time RN positions. Applicants must be willing to work in a secure environment providing medical services to inmates. RNs will be responsible for inmate intake health screenings, medical evaluations, sick call, infirmary duties, and medication administration.A benefit package includes a salary commiserate with experience, VRS retirement, vacation time, sick time, paid holidays, and health insurance.Applicants must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Virginia State Board of Nursing License and be able to pass a criminal history check.If new graduate and not yet licensed, NCLEX RN Exam must be taken within 60 days.
- 1. Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.2. Must be a citizen of the United States or legally employable in the United States.3. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Medical Professionals required.4. Completion of an accredited nursing program leading to a license as a Registered Nurse, preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
5. Must possess a license to practice as a Registered Nurse issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
