Job Summary
Under general supervision, performs a variety of clerical duties in support of the Developmental Services Division.
Work is performed in an office environment. Plans the work based on priorities and assignments of a recurring nature. Requires the use of office equipment such as telephones, copier, online fax, computer and various computer software programs. Employee must exercise tact and courtesy in contact with staff, individuals served, public, and vendors. Critical component of job is to possess strong interpersonal skills. Reports to the Senior Administrative Assistant.
Job Responsibilities
- Ongoing support to Director and staff
- Handle incoming calls, direct to appropriate person or department
- Responsible for office supplies
- Credible and WAMS data entry
- Uploading documents into Credible
- Picks up mail from the administrative office and distributes
- Requisitions; monthly supply orders for residential services
- Primary contact for vehicle reservations
- Medicaid Co-pay and eligibility verification
- Petty cash custodian
- Other Duties, as assigned
Job Requirements
Essential
- Must pass all required Background Checks.
- Must possess a valid Virginia Driver's License with reliable transportation and driving record acceptable to agency insurance carrier.
- Must obtain a TB test with satisfactory results within 30 days of employment, and yearly thereafter as required by licensing authority.
Education and Experience
Education
- High School Diploma supplemented with college level course work or experience
Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in clerical related work, which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
