Job Summary
Middle Park High School is seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and passionate Spanish teacher to join our team. This teacher will build students’ bilingual skills and enhance their understanding of the Spanish language, including listening, speaking, reading, critical thinking, and writing—skills fundamental to effective communication. Instruction will align with College Board curriculum to prepare students for Advanced Placement (AP) and collegiate-level coursework. The teacher will also cultivate students’ cultural awareness and foster a classroom community where students feel confident speaking Spanish.
Responsibilities include developing lesson plans aligned with state standards, preparing and delivering instruction, creating and supervising student activities, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs, evaluating student performance, maintaining classroom records, maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members, and participating in campus events.

Qualifications
Appropriate Colorado teaching license required; Master’s Degree in Spanish preferred. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, along with strong time management and organizational skills, are essential. We are seeking a teacher who is interested in continuing to grow and expand our Advanced Placement and/or Dual Enrollment program and who may be interested in organizing and supervising educational trips abroad to provide students with authentic cultural and language experiences.
Working Environment
Middle Park High School is located in Granby, Colorado, 90 miles northwest of Denver and just 20 miles from the Winter Park ski area. Our school operates on a four-day school week (Monday–Thursday) from 8:00 a.m. to 4:18 p.m., following a 4 × 4 alternating block schedule, allowing for extended instructional time and long weekends.
MPHS has approximately 400 students in grades 9–12 and serves the communities of Winter Park, Fraser, Tabernash, Granby, Grand Lake, Hot Sulphur Springs, and surrounding areas. The area offers exceptional access to skiing, snowboarding, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and other outdoor recreation opportunities, making it an outstanding place to live and work.
Compensation
Salary and benefits are based on the East Grand School District salary schedule.
