Job Summary
The Mathematics Academic Resource Center (MARC) provides free tutoring for students enrolled in math courses on the Macon and Cochran campuses of Middle Georgia State University. Tutors assist students through academic tutoring, study tips, and time management.
Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one and group tutoring for face-to-face and online appointments.
- Assist students with learning platforms such as D2L, WebAssign, and ALEKS.
- Assist students with the TI-84 calculator.
- Assist students with study techniques, note taking, and scheduling.
- Participate in tutor training which includes course embedding.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in at least 6 credit at MGA.
- Current GPA of at least 3.00.
- Good communication skills.
- Comfortable with basic technology.
