Federal Work Study - Flight Dispatch (Eastman Campus)

Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree-granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. MGA has five campuses-Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins, all located in central Georgia-and global outreach through its fully-online campus. This position is responsible for managing flight schedule and dispatching aircraft.

• Assists Flight Line Personnel as necessary
• Assists dispatch personnel as necessary
• Dispatches aircraft to instructors and students.
• Maintains safe operations including practice areas.

• Must be currently enrolled student at Middle Georgia State University in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
• Maintain his/her academic work load while handling a student job opportunity.
• Must have current valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a motor vehicle check.
• Must be able to pass and maintain annual TSA Safety Requirements.
• Must be able to pass and maintain fuel truck safety requirements.
• Must be able to pass and maintain golf cart safety requirements.

• Knowledge of computers and various software programs.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to retain important knowledge and follow operating procedures and protocols.
• Familiar with MGA Standard Operating Procedures, Restrictions and Emergency Operations.
• Must be dependable and prompt.
• Must adhere to the code of confidentiality.
• Must be courteous to all students, staff, faculty, and visitors.
• Must adhere to an assigned schedule.
