The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a Video Content Lead responsible for planning, producing, and publishing high-quality video content across MBN’s digital platforms. This role ensures editorial excellence, adherence to journalistic standards, and alignment with the overall digital content strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leads the editorial video content planning, production & publishing across MBN’s digital platforms.
• Lead the editorial video content planning, production, and publishing across MBN’s digital platforms.
• Create and maintain the video production backlog, including story ideas and scripts, aligning with the overall editorial calendar.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of video production, including assigning tasks, reviewing scripts, and approving editorial content.
• Coordinate with other content leads to assign in-house multimedia producers and ensure smooth script flow.
• Decide which stories to produce videos on and allocate resources accordingly.
• Write, subtitle, and approve video scripts; shape relevant visual concepts and provide editors with required footage and sources.
• Lead, mentor, and serve as a senior video editorial reference for the team.
• Ensure compliance with MBN’s Journalistic Code of Ethics.
• Ensure the team consistently meets editorial goals and deadlines.
• Research and develop video story ideas and features well in advance.
• Review and approve final videos prior to publishing.
• Assist in the creation of short-, mid-, and long-term content plans.
• Leverage insights from analytics tools and social media to inform video content.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Candidates are required to have:
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of journalism experience.
• Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent editorial judgment and mastery of journalistic ethics, copyright, and libel laws.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Knowledge of online and social media journalism.
• Outstanding writing, rephrasing, and subbing skills in Arabic.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under stress with accuracy and balance.
• Passionate about new-media approaches: using data to inspire content ideas.
• Knowledge of current U.S. and international affairs.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to support a 24/7 news environment.
