Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual concerns, health history, and treatment goals
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate treatment plans for pain management and relaxation
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including techniques used, client responses, and progress notes
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, hygiene standards, and licensing regulations
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals if necessary to support comprehensive patient care
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education requirements
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification in massage therapy
- Proven experience in providing various massage techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and general relaxation massages
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
- Knowledge of pain management strategies and occupational health principles
- CPR certification is required to ensure safety during all treatments
- Prior experience working in a med spa or similar healthcare setting is preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
