Operations Manager

Midcoast Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to be responsible for the leadership, engagement, development, and oversight of our Operations department. This role oversees the back-office processing of deposit and card-related operations, including disputes, deceased member account management, and new account auditing. This is a hybrid position with some in-office work required. The ability to report to a designated branch location as needed is expected.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the Credit Union's compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including Shared Branching, OFAC, BSA, and Regulations E, CC, and DD. Keep staff informed of regulatory updates and changes to programs and guidelines. Lead the annual ACH audit and ensure annual BCP testing for ACH is completed. Maintain accurate inventory of safe deposit boxes.
- Responsible for evaluating performance, coaching, and developing employees to foster growth and success. Lead, motivate, and guide the Operations team, ensuring a collaborative and positive work environment. Provide clear direction and constructive feedback while promoting teamwork and engagement.
- Support staff on technical processing issues. Ensure proper input, set up, maintenance, and transfer of data into all software programs including document imaging. Collaborate with vendors and monitor progress on open items that need resolution and ensure proper escalation as needed.
Experience
Three to five years of similar or related experience. Working knowledge of regulations relating to all Credit Union deposit products (Reg D, E, CC, DD) as well as BSA/AML regulations and reporting.
Education
A high school education or GED.
