What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Mailbox and Sign Installation Technician position at MidAtlantic Mailbox Inc?
If you have basic construction knowledge and are a self-starter, join our team! Our ideal candidate is willing to work hard to install various types of residential mailboxes, commercial mailboxes, and street signs in the DC/VA/MD region. Looking for trustworthy, independent workers and problem solvers! You will spend most of your time out in the field with close communications to the office. Warehouse work is involved in this role, especially during inclement weather. This is a manual labor position, only serious candidates should apply.
*Must be 21 to apply for DOT driving regulations. If you do not have a DOT license, we can coordinate that for you upon hire.
Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain mailboxes and street signs according to specifications and local regulations.
- Utilize construction skills to secure installations effectively.
- Operate tools and equipment safely.
- Drive & maintain company vehicle during working hours.
- Communicate with clients on site as needed to ensure satisfaction with installations.
- Adhere to safety standards and maintain a valid driver's license for transportation to job sites.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness & operations
Requirements:
- Willingness to work in outside elements (within reason and at owner’s discretion based on weather conditions) year-round
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Must be reliable, professional and honest
- Your starting hourly rate will range based on your experience - starting at $22 an hour for basic experience. *Starting pay may be increased with relevant experience and skills such as carpentry or construction)
- Each day starts and ends in Frederick, MD to load/unload materials for installs or incoming deliveries on any given day
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license is a must
- Overtime pay available, vacation*, and holiday benefits* included
- First 90 days of employment are paid probation period*
- Carpentry skills are a plus but not required
