We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication and welding requirements.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and
welding techniques to join metals accurately. - Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape sheet metal and ductwork components.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools; perform basic math calculations for accurate fabrication.
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks on construction sites or manufacturing floors.
- Fabricate custom parts by cutting, bending, assembling, and welding metal components according to schematics and specifications.
- Maintain a clean work environment while adhering to safety protocols in accordance with ASME codes & standards and industry best practices.
- Assist with pipe threading, soldering, machining, mechanical assembly, and other related tasks as needed for project completion.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience or manufacturing background involving metal fabrication.
- Hands-on experience with MIG, TIG, FCAW welding processes; familiarity with
welding preferred. - Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, calipers, micrometers, and other fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques, crane operation awareness, pipe threading, ductwork installation, and mechanical assembly is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication environments.
